“I will be right back”, she said and logged off.
And he kept staring those not so bold letters which were too loud to make him feel her absence.
He tried dozing off, but that one sensation was lingering over and made him react towards that rising chaos.
With a wild hope, he picked his phone, and once again stealthily entered that ‘thorny WhatsApp zone’, breathing heavily he opened his chat with her love and sighed.
She wasn’t there still, taking the advantage of her due absence, he started living his old conversations by scrolling up the screen, those pounding hearts and flying kisses made him feel blessed.
He felt lost and started reading those lines as if it’s happening now,
She : Love :*, When shall we meet?
He: Hey! Honey, soon. I shall book tickets to reach out to you.:*
She: You should make that happen asap!
He: As you command honey! :*
As he was reading in between those lines, suddenly that ‘last seen’ changed into ‘online’ and he kept on reading, trying to bring in that same feeling and focus, but at the back of it, he wished it to turn into ‘typing’. He somehow managed to keep on reading and yes, it did change this time, into ‘typing’ and he quickly scrolled all down to read wat she wrote,
She: Hey love! I am back, How are you?
She : Had dinner?
Before he could scroll down and read what she wrote, those letters again played a never ending game, and turned into “last seen”
He read those lines with a smile of satisfaction and replied,
He: Hey, darling! I am all good.
He : And yes! I had dinner, too.
He : What about you?
Within a span of 2 minutes, she replied and they both entered a chaotic basket, closely knit with strands of love, affection, warmth, care, and anger.
